Musicians Karen Steven & Alastair MacDonald - Scotland / Canada, will be guests of CLAN SINCLAIR and will be playing for us at our Clan Sinclair Banquet in Phoenix, AZ, on March 4th. They will also be performing at the Phoenix International Twilight Tattoo the night of March 3rd. Hailing from Caithness in the far north of Scotland, the accordion and fiddle duo first met in 1986 after which they embarked on a music tour of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, sharing the stage with such greats as The Barra MacNeils.
Alastair has toured extensively throughout the UK and beyond, with Addie Harper & The Wick Scottish Dance Band as well as with Scottish accordion champion, Brandon Mcphee, while Karen has performed, taught and judged fiddling in Europe, Canada & the USA, while on a number of occasions teaching alongside California based, Scottish fiddler, Alasdair Fraser.
Between them, Alastair & Karen have featured on multiple traditional music albums and Caithness music videos, in addition to their own compositions appearing in no less than 5 tune books.
